An old long, lost, unrecognized game

Oh. How wonderful to live your life. As it's everyday is a great day. New adventures to discover, new world to explore, new obstacles to face. WOW! Life is beautiful. Even if wherever you are at home, at school at play. Sunbeam, you will see the beam of lights rising towards the east coast day to day. Everytime I see those colorful creations God made it gives me a new batch of blessings and gloriuos things that will show up.
After one year in College, I just want to share what is the status of College for me in my own viewpoint, as a College student as far as my knowledge is concern.
I remember one time I was having a conversation with my good friend in school and I was just tell him out of nowhere that "You know what Pao, for me College is just like a playground, where we just keep on playing and playing right?, It's like everyday we see our friends, our batchmates, our orgmates, and even our ate's and kuya's in the upperbatch. Every single day we meet new people." Then he said "Ano palagay mo saken?! Huh?!!? ikaw LNG!! (Who do you think I am? Huh?!?! Only you!)." Oh and that's but he didn't even realized what I meant.

So far, I just have been staying here in College for one year, and for me this is what College represents. Guys, really for me College is like a playground. Right? Yeah just give me a short time to explain what's inside of me I'm not going to assure you that you will believe in my perspective but I'll try my words to be convincing as I can.
Ok let me put it this way. It's like when you are going to school there are projects, homeworks, assignments, long quizzes and seatworks. But inspite of all those things you also have your organizations and friends and even playmates. You can meet different kinds of people not just about your age and your batch, everyone inside this "playground" has a chance to meet anyone like, schoolnerds, world-class athletes, future leaders of the country, cool guys, and even professors, teachers who also can be your playmate in sports and orgmates. I don't see College is a place just to study and study and study, it is a place where you can learn new things not just academically but more on interacting and socializing, it's a place where you also discover your real talent and skills where you good at and not, it's a place where you really have the freedom of choices and live your life without anyone controlling you(I'm referring to the oldies *parents*). Because they really don't know what's your projects, what's your classes, when is your exams, what time you are supposed to be in school, it's because you are not there just to STUDY. You have so many many extra-curricular things to do, one thing in your orgs, your hang-time with your friends, trainings if you are in school's team, chat and to get to know others, and even just hanging-out in your library. There are so many many things you can have FUN with inside your University.
Before I end with my body let me share to you what my professor said when I was still his student "Here in College don't be too seriuos in studying, just have fun, just play it, don't worry too much about your grades or even in retention policies, the important thing there is you're having fun on what you are doing, and that what keeps you alive."
Therefore, I conclude I can say that College is a
playground whereas your game is to study, your objective is to attend
all classes, your mechanics is to make all the assignments and
paperworks, and your objective is to perfect your long exams. In the near future I will have published a brand new blog featuring College as game, it will contain the terminologies, basic fundamentals, basic skills, it's objectives, mechanics, goals, history andsome other cool stuffs of the game. I, myself also looking forward to read it.

P.S. You are very much welcome to suggest any terminologies or vocabularies in this game like for example "Just play it!" Play in this game means = In "College" game, PLAY = means to do your works with self-confidence and at the same time your having fun." "IDEAL Game" - means that when you reach the top then you graduate, that's the the next chapter of your life whereas you need to find a job and work hard. "Winning the game" = means you are a DL or have very good grades. That's it. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

  1. Going through college with just the aim of getting high grades is just sad. Getting good grades does not guarantee that you've learned. You could graduate at the top of your batch without having learned anything. I'd rather graduate having had learned something rather than just getting high grades without actually learning. Grades are just numbers.
