Power of words
Kaito: "Dito sa territoryo ko, ang mga salita ang mga pinakamakapangyarihan sa lahat."
Vincent: "Eh ano ngayon kung sabihin ko ang pinagbabawal na salita? Sabihin ko na 'Mainit'." [Vincent froze and his spirit went to Kaito's hands]
I just watched Ghost Fighter this morning, expecting the final fight of the dark tournament, but was surprised that they were now in the introduction to the Dark Chapter episode. The lines of Kaito reminded me the biblical explanation of the power of words as Solomon says "The tongue has the power of life and death.. " - Prov 18:21
Ofcourse in the cartoons [Ghost Fighter] obviously, one will be captivated by the power of Kaito through capturing his spirit like what happened to Vincent, It's really the same way with us, with the words that come out from our mouths give us life or death, the effect may not be seen immediately but for eternity it gives spiritual death or life.
Jesus even told [us] his disciples that "But here is what I tell you. On judgment day, people will have to account for every careless word they have spoken." - Matt 12:36. He was actually warning us to be careful on how we choose are words, for every word we will be held accountable.
There is a spiritual parallel on this, Vincent [in the cartoon] experienced the immediate effect of getting his spirit, he was accountable with the choice of his words for he is in the territory of Kaito. In reality in God's territory [which is the heavens and the earth], we are accountable to him, as if he is saying "Dito sa territoryo ko, ang mga salita ang mga pinakamakapangyarihan sa lahat".
There are so many subtopics and lessons that could arise into the "Power of words" in the bible, but for now I want to instill this truth into your minds and hopefully apply it everyday that,
"Be very careful on how to choose the right words to say, for we are here in the territory of the living God [the righteous judge]."
