Godly wisdom according to James

**These are some collections of thoughts and reflections in my notes during the service. Not intended for formal essays, blogs nor academic writing.   "Knowledge is an accumulation of facts (experience and education)". Understanding is the interpretation of those facts. Wisdom is God-given. There's no wisdom in the world. No other book in this world that could change you." 1 The reality is that the wisdom of this world refers to being bitter, envious of one another, and having selfish ambition in your hearts. 2 Some people long to be promoted at work and they are going to do anything they can to achieve that goal even up to the point where they make some destructive stories to others in order for them to be favored by the managers. It is a selfish act of them. Some people want to always prove their point and win arguments even to the point of breaking friendships. They only want to think of themselves and are not willing to submit. "But the wisdom that comes...

Christ or Belial?

**These are some collections of thoughts and reflections in my notes during the service. Not intended for formal essays, blogs nor academic writing. Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?   What harmony is there between Christ and Belial [ a ] ? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?  What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “ I will live with them      and walk among them, and I will be their God,   and they will be my people. ” 1  - 2 Corinthians 6:14-1      Paul warned them about yoking with unbelievers. The majority of the entire Christendom refers to this verse as marrying with non-Christians in a modern-day era. Other translations say: " Stop forming inappropriate relationships wit...

Solution for marriage problems

**These are some collections of thoughts and reflections in my notes during the service. Not intended for formal essays, blogs nor academic writing.      Years ago I heard from a preacher having married for 30 years he always learns something new about his wife. 1  Observing my parents they tell me they still don't know each other. Yesterday the same phenomenon had been mentioned. 2      How long can we truly know a person? Or can we? How many years will it take for you to know the person that you've married? Or is it achievable?       Depending on which lens you are looking at this reality. One may treat it as something disappointing or frustrating for marriage. Or one could treat it as the beauty and uniqueness of marriage that's why it makes it more delightful day after day. Learning something new about your spouse and finding new ways to walk together as one, and honoring God with your day-...

Is it just paper?

**These are some collections of thoughts and reflections in my notes during the service. Not intended for formal essays, blogs nor academic writing.      In my early childhood, I learned that there is no divorce in our country. Later on, in life, I discovered that there's "annulment". But whatever you call it, in my own opinion it is all the same to me. 2 people wanting to go out and be separated in life, trying to erase their vows, or somehow the love that they once had before are no longer existing. This phenomenon varies from culture to culture, from nation to nation.  I strongly believe that, " All marriages are ordained by God. In marriage, God has the first and the last words, not the court, not the society, not the people of the land ". 1      Some people treat that marriage is just a paper. A simple paper that they can tear or burn up. But marriage is designed and created by God. He was the one who initiated it and invented it not...

Opportunity

**These are some collections of thoughts and reflections in my notes during the service. Not intended for formal essays, blogs nor academic writing.      His message of relentless pursuit of reaching out to the lost people to spread the gospel of Christ made me thinking of the past when I was still in the university and trying to connect with the new students and inviting them to small group discussions or youth service. But surprisingly even at his age right now together with his busy schedule he even passionately preached, " I never looked at the past ( accomplishments ) I'm always looking for an opportunity to advance the gospel whenever possible." 1      And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. 2 - Philippians 1:14      In Paul's previous life he is known as someone who boldly kill the followers of Christ upon his transformation he was changed and...
