Screen

At the start of the year there are a lot of voices where we can pay attention to. Depending on which voice that you choose, it will serve as the foundation of how you are going to build your life in the next year. Paying attention is in many forms. It might be reading a book, watching films, surfing the internet, or listening to a podcast. These are the ways where we acquire information. Information becomes the knowledge that we use as we go unto day to day life, as we process things, base our morality, and make decisions.
Someone once said, "Stop watching YOUTUBE and go ask your pastor".1 People has a tendency to get carried away believing on what they watch on screen. Not all is biblically sound true and right. Another danger would be caught in the web of entertainment and binge-watching. A genuine relationship with God and a conversation with the pastor can be more fruitful and edifying to the soul.
As we face 2022, spend more time with human beings rather than screens and artificial intelligence. Mankind is created for community and within a community. We are going to face challenges, storms, and trials for this year. I think having a discourse and encouragement from my pastor would be more significantly helpful compared seeking counsel from any other sources in this material realm.
"Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise."2 - Proverbs 19:20
Pastor is one of the many persons who can give advice. The ultimate person who perfectly advice you is the Holy Spirit. Through meditation of God's holy word you can always hear the perfect voice of the Holy Spirit.
