Identity theft

** Architecture, see footnote 3.        In Bubbletease last week our small group discussed "Identity". People today have a tendency to find their Identity unto temporal things of this world such as but not limited to: relationships, careers, money, power, reputation instead of what the bible says which is in Christ. Going home, driving, and pondering about the theme of "Identity" I asked myself what are the things in my life that serve as my "Identity". I started thinking of my achievements in the past, then later on my skills and talents, and then about the commendations and praises from people.    A clip from Homecoming appeared in my mind where Tony was asking for the suit back from Pete. It is exactly what "Identity" is for most people. Peter Parker : You don't understand! This is all I have! I'm nothing without this suit! Tony Stark : If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it, okay? 1      Peter was depe...

Learning from Mercury and Pluto

** Architecture, see footnote 3.      Truths in the bible can also be seen in nature and even in the solar system. No one knows how far the Universe goes. Try to look at our solar system. What do you see? What do you observe?      One of the observable phenomena is the significant distance of the two farthest planets: Mercury and Pluto.      Mercury is always hot because it is near the sun. On the other hand, Pluto is always cold because it is far from the sun. Earth is sometimes hot or cold because it continuously rotates. The side that faces the sun becomes hot while the other side becomes cold. Some Christians are similar to the Earth. Sometimes they are hot, and sometimes they are cold. The key to staying hot is to abide near the "S-O-N". 1 He is Christ Jesus.  "Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked." 2 - 1 John 2:6      Abiding in Christ Jesus would automatically be reflected...

Another way of explaining the importance of abiding in Jesus Christ today.

** Architecture, see footnote 3.      On my first interview applying for Starbucks, I discovered that they not only serve coffees but also teas. From then I tend to order herbal teas during flu season for prevention and treatment. Mixtures of different teas are not uncommon in Starbucks' ethos, thus medicine ball had been re-invented on a number of iterations. In recent years due to aging and work routines, Chamomile tea is my regular for two reasons: it is decaf and helps you to get better sleep. Yesterday, I just learned 2 methodologies on how to drink tea.      One is what people coined as the "dippers". They tie the teabag in the spoon and constantly dip up and down the tea in the hot water. The other one is just putting the teabag in the hot water and letting time and inertia be your allies. The dippers involve more effort and minor increments of time outside the hot water. Compared to the latter where we naturally let the te...
