The worldviews refer to doing and following things to be accepted. They have to fulfill the requirements of their belief system. It is performance-based. Only in Christianity that it is about what God had already done. We can't add anything to the purest form of the gospel revealed in the bible. If we add or omit anything, that is wrong. The gospel is about the finished work of Christ on the cross. It is not what man can do for God. "... All our righteous acts are like filthy rags".1 - Isaiah 64:6. It is only by grace alone that we attain salvation.
Doing good deeds is an outflow of our relationship with God. When we show love and care or any kindness to others, it is out of delight, not out of duty. Doing kind acts to others, even volunteering or serving in ministry, doesn't equal God loving you more than someone who doesn't volunteer. The love of God is absolute. God doesn't love someone more who shows him love back. He is God. Loving others is a privilege to participate in his kingdom here on earth.
"Keeping ourselves in the love of God takes effort, discipline, and commitment."2 If we want to be in his presence, doing a part is necessary. Being, staying, and walking in his love are not passive. It takes work in our life. Spiritual discipline is essential in our faith and journey with God. Neglecting it would be the start of one's downfall.
