How the theological significance of Paul's view of adoption and cats intersect.

Lito shared his thoughts about his family's proposal for cat adoption. Eventually, he still won in the end. The family hoped that Lito would still be interested in adopting a cat. His better half continued showing some cute photos of cats online. He concluded that people were creative enough to capture the best angles of the cat. If people see how cute those cats are, they probably might adopt them. He then tried to contrast it with God's essence for adoption, "if the adoption system of God is like that (based on our cuteness)... do we have to impress God"?1

"he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—"2 - Ephesians 1:5

The only basis for why mankind is adopted as children of the highest is through Jesus Christ. It is never based on who we are or what we did here in our lives. It will be unfair if it is based from other factors other than his son Jesus Christ.

In our culture being "adopted" is presented as something negative. But if your mindset is based on what the bible says you wouldn't be embarrassed about being adopted rather you ought to be proud. Pastor Jun Escosar's daughter states, “There has never been a time in my life when I was ashamed of being adopted. My parents secured my identity as their daughter, but primarily they first showed me to be secure in my identity as a child of God.”3
