Prayer. Unity. Legacy

The crucial ingredient

    Recently, God manifested in the physical realm to the answer to our prayers, opening the new facility. God had already answered our prayers of finding the new facility in the eastern part of the city even months ago. What we were seeing in the physical didn't mean that nothing is happening in the spiritual realm. As soon as we started meeting together praying, and strategizing for searching the facility, God had already been working behind the scenes even before we asked for it. "... for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."1 - Matthew 6:8

    This is something that we've done in the past and it must continue in the present and even in the future.


Better together

    The first few weeks we knew that God's hand was moving in our midst. There were challenges but we know that God is faithful. It was amazing to see everyone from different age groups serve and help each other. In the ushering ministry, there were new youth volunteers. In the sound and multimedia team, there were new gentlemen committed to helping out. The worship has been a mixture of various demographics as always. Truly, the church is the body of Christ. 

"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. "2 - 1 Corinthians 12:12

    This is what we are doing in the present and it must continue in the future.



The next generation
    After several decades not everyone will experience the kingdom of God manifested in the growth of Every Nation Scarborough. Humans are immortal. Older men will be gone, and the young ones will replace them. Not everyone will see what happens in the future. The church of God will continue and nothing can stop the work of God. The Work(s) of God is Always BEYOND of Anyone’s Lifetime.3

"And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it."4 - Matthew 16:18
    This is what will happen in the future for it is in God's hands.

    Kobe Bryant started YouTube episodes called "Detail" after he retired from basketball. The channel features different NBA star players and Kobe gives his detailed analysis of every movement of the player. The idea behind the episodes is for the viewers to learn from these players especially the details that they might miss while watching them.      One of the leadership skills that I observe in the people I meet is playfulness. Do not underestimate this magical factor of playfulness in Tagalog, "kakulitan" If there is zero tolerance for you being "makulit" there is a tendency to interpret your sentences or words as "cold". "Makulit" or playfulness factor is tricky, especially in an environment where respect and formality are expected. Happy Mother's day

     Wow. Time flew so fast. I vividly imagine during the first Christmas of pandemic era where I was hosting our church Christmas party in Zoom and her beauty stood among the crowd.  I can still recall our moments together when we all wore white and went to Fish Creek and recreated the post. I remember the times where we sang and dance to the beat of Backstreet Boys at Saskatchewan. We also drove all the way to Edmonton to buy some clothes from Uniqlo.       The first precious moment that we've had was when I offered her a free coffee one time and she accepted my treat. We then took a ride and she didn't expect suddenly we were in front of the Hyundai car dealership at 130th.  I attempted to convince her to come with me and she stood her ground.
