Did Nancey and Warren overlook on something?

A Christian Philosopher and a Psychologist state, "The ability to act contrary to both our biological nature and all social constraints can be predicted to lead (often enough) to disaster".1 But what if our human nature is darkened and the ethos is fallen?

The former part of the above quotation implies taking care of our physical body and avoiding any type of threat and harm. The latter part might be accurate in a Theocratic2 type of society. But both may be incongruent with the revealed word in the Holy Scriptures on the nature of man and the system of the world. Looking at the context is necessary to have a proper approach to interpretation and thus to avoid the possible dangers of application.

Context
It is in the last chapter, "Neurobiological Reductionism and Free Will" of the book "Did My Neurons Make Me Do it"? Prior chapters touched on the nature of biological creatures and the interactions within their living environment. Living creatures are designed for survival and reproduction. In society, there are rules that govern to maintain harmony, balance, justice, equality, and fairness. Chaos and disorder are expected without those.

Danger
The danger of reading this type of book among Christendom is forgetting that it is made within the realm of Scientific knowledge4 and not on the Scriptures. The authors' worldview is Christian but the book itself does not contain bible passages.5 In OT, "All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one."6 which Paul quoted in NT. Society is composed of humans. If humans are naturally wicked, so does the evolution of society

Conclusion
The intention of the book is to explore the world of neuroscience and how it affects mankind's decision-making process in detail. This is not to neglect the biblical stance of humanity and society but to find a way to start discussions within the wider audience of the world. A Christian Philosopher doesn't always have to quote from the bible nor compose writings with scriptures to prove his stance and belief. It might also be a strategy to penetrate other people with different worldviews from various disciplines.

In the Hebrew Bible during the time when mankind was still under God's sovereignty such as but not limited to: the time of Abraham, Noah, and the chosen people of Israel. Though the system of the culture itself might still be prone to disobedience. The OT writers just handpicked the accounts where it contribute to the narrative of the purpose of their respective writings.

4 The word "Neurons" in the title is associated with Science.
5 There might be a few for I haven't finished reading the book. Looking at the table of contents there might be none.
