Why singleness is delightful?

If one likes a woman, people will often tell that person to immediately make a "move" even from the group of believers. Those people are not necessarily wrong. But rarely they will say, "Hear God's voice first". We are in a culture where "moving", especially on getting to know a woman is always in a proactive state, especially if the person is already in his 30s. Sometimes "moving" is best practice in "not-moving" and letting God do his work. God through the Holy Spirit will tell the person specifically what to do and when to do it. The problem is if we intervene in God's timing, we might be diverting his way and going against his plan. The key is to totally trust him. Don't let the voices around you pressure you on what to do, and "don't allow man and culture to tell you how to live"1. Stick with what the word of God says and his promises.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these will be given to you as well".2
- Matthew 6:33

One of the reasons why we are being led with this "quick-move" set up in today's society, is for the fear of losing the woman. If one is fully complete in Christ he does not have that fear. He fully trusts God that he will be given the woman that is God's will for him. The season of waiting is not agony nor frustration but it is a delightful moment of embracing God's process of sanctification of molding one's character and inner man through the empowering grace of the Holy Spirit.
