Wisdom
I heard from someone that she always hears people say negative things about other people. With those voices, she could be easily affected on how she view the person being discussed through listening to their statements but she didn't. She unintentionally taught me a lesson today by saying, "But I don't judge them." She never let anyone's reputation be tainted by someone else's portrayal through gossip or slander. This reality is a proof that Jesus' words are timeless when he says, "You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one." (John 8:15)1 She went on saying that "I don't intend for them to perceive us, as perfect people".
Some if not most people wants to be presented to the public as the best versions of themselves. Only a few if not rarely who admits his or her own flaw. Only a few who admits that they need mercy and forgiveness. Only a few who admits that without help they can not go on with their day. Only a few recognize the significance of the grace in their life.
We all have flaws. The moment you bring yourself to the world as someone superior, they will know it. People will distance themselves to you or worse will cut off their relationship to you. When people brought a woman caught in adultery to Jesus, he said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." (John 8:7)1
