When we were talking about developing unique friendships with the opposite gender, he mentioned "emotional investment" which is not just limited to the person whom you have been praying for. It can also be associated with "the level at which you sow determines the level you will reap" 1     The dynamics between the two genders God created reach exponential growth in reaping not just the same level during the initial period of sowing. " Two are better than one,  because they have a good return for their labor: " 2 - Ecclesiastes 4:9      Spending quality time with one another impacts the foundation of the relationship. It is where both of you learn about each other's tendencies, preferences, personalities, and more importantly values in life. One of the key non-negotiable factors in Christendom is Lordship. Book Review: The Beauty of Intolerance

This entry is a tribute to Joanna Marie who gave me the book.       The book starts with a hypothetical scenario that seems to recreate the situations in our society today. As the book progresses the different aspects of the scenario shed light for the viewer to think about and to consider. There's also a facet of dealing with homosexuals in our society. Two major concerns in society are given emphasis: the tryst between lovers, and the prevalence of homosexuals.    The thrust of the book is how to navigate the increasing tension of these realities in Christendom in today's era. The strength is that it is relatable, especially to the people in North America. Parents could also learn some insights into how the stories were dealt with. The book offers some insights on a practical level. Another strength is that it inspires and encourages especially young adults and singles in general to stay true to their convictions and continue to follow Jesus no matter wha...

I appreciate the question and I believe it should be the paradigm of every person who had undergone the moment of vacation.     A series of thoughts appeared in my mind but only one word stood out: Family. I was delighted to spend most of my 5 weeks' time with my parents, and relatives. Before, every time I visit the Philippines, I aimed to maximize my limited time with colleagues and other people from the community of faith. I attempted to fill up my schedule quickly. If I don't do...
